The Dome that comes with the Lightspheres works great as a custom white balance measurement tool. Simply put your camera on manual focus (trust me) and take a reference image standing right where your subject is. Then use this reference image for custom white balance. The fact that it is a neutral half-dome makes this effective for custom white balance.
